There are over 130 Linux distros (versions) and some of these Linux distros have their own "specialized" GUI (Graphical User Interface) utilities.

It seems like a lot of Linux distros, in effort to prove that they're "different", go to

great lengths to reinvent the wheel. They do this by creating "point-and-click" GUI (Graphical User Interface) utilities - to try and make using their distribution easy.

These Linux GUI utilities are slow and cumbersome, and usually take a long time to get started - and then require several clicks to do the equivalent of running a single Linux command!

And even worse - these Linux GUI utilities are different for every distro that has them.

So the method of using a GUI in one distro to partition a disk is completely different from using a GUI utility in a different distro to do the same thing!
