Learning Linux Commands To Do Linux System Administration - More Benefits

There are over 130 Linux distros (versions) and some of these Linux distros have their own "specialized" GUI (Graphical User Interface) utilities.

It seems like a lot of Linux distros, in effort to prove that they're "different", go to

great lengths to reinvent the wheel. They do this by creating "point-and-click" GUI (Graphical User Interface) utilities - to try and make using their distribution easy.

These Linux GUI utilities are slow and cumbersome, and usually take a long time to get started - and then require several clicks to do the equivalent of running a single Linux command!

And even worse - these Linux GUI utilities are different for every distro that has them.

So the method of using a GUI in one distro to partition a disk is completely different from using a GUI utility in a different distro to do the same thing!

Linux Training Tips: Once you start to master the use of Linux commands, you'll easily see why they are the best way to do Linux system administration. You can easily type in and run a single GNU / Linux command - in just a few seconds - to do what would take you a minute or more by using a Linux GUI utility. Why take the time to learn how to use a Linux GUI - that only works in one distro - to do something that takes longer?

In the past, people usually read Linux books to get Linux training or went to a Linux course in a classroom. But now you can get easy Linux training by watching Linux videos.

Although Linux commands are considered difficult to learn, you can go to http://www.iLearnLinux.com/Linux-Commands and watch an excellent set of Linux videos and see how easy it is to learn how to use Linux commands, step-by-step.
